Whole Wheat Raisin Bread

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 TBSP molasses or honey
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 TBSP melted butter
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup nuts

Steps
  1. Mix well. Place in greased and floured loaf pan.
  2. Bake 350° for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Tips
Can serve with butter and honey, plain, pr flaze top with powdered sugar and milk or water for glaze.
