Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • frosting:
  • 4 TBSP butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 TBSP cream
  • food coloring

Steps
  1. Cream together butter and sugar.
  2. Add egg and beat. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Chill dough in refridgertor for 1 hour.
  3. On floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4" thickness, and cut-out cookies.
  4. Place 2" apart on a buttered cookie sheet. Bake 7-10 minutes. Let cool completely before frosting.
  6. Frosting: Mix together ingredients. Add food coloring as desired.
