Puffs

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup boiling water

Steps
  1. Melt butter in boiling water. Add flour and salt all at once and stir up good.
  2. Cook and tir until it form a ball that doesn't separate. Remove from heat. Cool slightly.
  3. Add 1 egg at a time. Beating after each egg until smooth. Beat with spoon.
  4. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2" apart on a greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake 425° for 15 minutes and then 325° for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven - split or cut in half. Turn oven off and put puffs back in oven to dry - 15-20 minutes.
