Ingredients
- 2 beaten egg yolks
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup flour
- 4 TBSP melted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten and set aside
Steps
- Add beaten egg yolks to the melted butter. Add salt and milk. Mix the flour and cornstarch together and add to mixture making a smooth paste.
- Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
- Slice onions 1/4 inch rings and dip in batter. Fry in hot fat.
- Drain on paper towels.
