Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup light molasses
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 1 1/2 TBSP butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- cornstarch
Steps
- In heavy saucepan, combine all ingredients except cornstarch.
- Stir over medium heat until mixture boils. Continue boiling until hardball stage (244°). Remove from heat.
- Pour onto greased sheet. When cool enough to handle, divide into pieces.
- Pull between greased fingertips until light colored and stiff.
- Cut into pieces. Roll in cornstarch so it won't be sticky.
- Always use caution when cooking and working with candy.
- Eat right away!
