Hot Fudge Spoon Cake

Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed and divided)
  • 1/3 cup + 3 TBSP cocoa (divided)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 TBSP butter (melted)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cup hot water

Steps
  1. Combine flour, 1 cup brown sugar, 3 TBSP cocoa, baking powder, and salt in medium bowl.
  2. Whisk in milk, butter, and vanilla.
  3. Spread evenly in a slow cooker.
  4. Mix together remaining 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Sprinkle evenly over top of batter.
  5. Pour in hot water - do not stir.
  6. Cover and cook on high setting for 2 hours or until a toothpick inserted 1 inch deep comes out clean
  7. Spoon arm cake into bowls, top with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
