Ginger Bread Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 3/4 cup oil or lard
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 heaping tsp ginger
  • 6 cups flour (or more) (Use 1/3 whole wheat)
  • Use more flour if needed

Steps
  1. Combine sugar, molasses, oil/lard and hot water.
  2. Rinse molasses out of cup with hot water.
  3. Add eggs.
  4. Mix together dri ingredients. Add to previous mixture.
  5. Refridgerate dough. Roll out and cut with cookie cutters.
  6. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
