Fruit Topping

"This is used for the Prune Cake"

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 TBSP butter
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 2/3 cup pecans or walnuts (chopped)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup prunes (cut fine)
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Steps
  1. Combine sugar, butter, sour cream, slightly beaten egg, prunes, and raisins.
  2. Cook about 5 minutes or until thick, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat. Add nuts and vanilla.
  4. Cool and spread on cake.
Tips
Can use vanilla icing, but it isn't as good as the fruit topping.
