Ingredients
  • 1 cup soft butter/margarine
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 6 cups pecan halves
  • 1 lb. whole candied cherries
  • 6 slices candied pineapple (diced)
  • 2 cups coarsely diced dates

Steps
  1. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs.
  2. Add sifted ingredeints and milk. Mix well.
  3. Pour batter over nuts and fruit. Mix well by hand.
  4. Drop by teaspoonful on cookie sheet.
  5. Bake 325° for 20 to 25 minutes.
  6. Makes 10-12 dozen.
