Mix sugar, corn syrup, and water together and cook over medium-low heat without stirring to hard ball stage.
Wash down sugar on sides of pan with a rag on a fork.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Pour cooked mixture over stiffly beaten egg white very slowly in large mixmaster bowl. Add vanilla.
Continue to beat until firm enough to mold.
Form into egg shape or balls.
Place on buttered wax paper. Let set up.
Melt chocolate that has been granted in electric pan on lowest heat (warm) or in microwave. Coat the bottom of the divinity egg first, then the rest and let it set up.
For Easter Eggs, you can use plastic egg molds to shape.
