Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 2 TBSP flour
- 3 TBSP cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg + 1 yolk (or 3 yolks)
- 1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
Steps
- Mix flour, cornstarch, sugar, and salt. Add enough cold milk to make a paste.
- Scald rest of milk - blend with paste.
- Stir constantly until thickened. Let cool 15-20 minutes.
- Blend wit hbeaten eggs and cook a little longer; add vanilla.
- Add about a half pint of whipping cream and fold in.
- Cook in double broiler.
- Cool, then fill cream puffs.
