Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup (small can) undiluted milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Steps
- Combine all ingredients except vanilla in saucepan over low heat.
- Cook until syrup forms form ball in cold water (245° on candy thermometer). Stir constantly, add vanilla.
- Pour into buttered 9" square pan. Cool thoroughly before turning out on buttered board.
- Cut into squares and wrap each individual square in waxed paper.
- Makes 1 pound.
