Ingredients
- 2 cans clams (save juice)
- 1 onion - chopped
- 1 cup celery - diced
- 2 cups potatoes
- 3/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 qt. half & half (or 1 pt. half & half and 1 pt. milk)
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 carrot (optional)
Steps
- Cover onions, celery, and potatoes with water and clam juice. Cook unitl almost tender.
- Add salt and pepper.
- In another pan, melt butter, and flour.
- Add half & half and then pour over veggies and serve hot.
- Note: can use hash browns in place of potatoes.
- Serve with crackers or fresh bread.
