Chocolate Chip Blondies

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cup walnuts (chopped)

Steps
  1. Preheat oven. Line 13x9" baking sheet with tin foil that extends 2" beyond sides.
  2. Lightly butter bottom and sides of pan.
  3. Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt in large bowl.
  4. Beat butter and sugars. Add eggs one at a time. Beat in vanilla.
  5. On low speed, beat in flour mixture.
  6. Using a wooden spoon, mix in chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
  7. Scrape batter into prepared pab.
  8. Bake 22-27 minutes or until golden brown and set. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
  9. Remove pan to wire rack and cool for 30 minutes.
  10. Using the two ends of teh foil as handles, lift chocolate chip "rectangle" out of pan. Cool on foil for at least 2 hours.
  11. Cut into bars; makes 24 squares.
  12. Delicious - easy - freezes well.
