Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) - softened
  • 1/4 cup shortening (Crisco)
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips - melted
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 TBSP milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Steps
  1. With electric mixer, beat butter and crisco until smooth.
  2. Add melted chocolate chips and cocoa. Mix until smooth.
  3. Alternate mixing in milk and powdered sugar until you reach desired consistency. Add vanilla.
  4. Mix once more.
