Cherry Chocolate Chip Loaves

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter - softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup ripe bananas - mashed
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup walnuts - chopped
  • 1/4 c mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c dried cherries (or dried cranberries) - chopped

Steps
  1. Blend together butter and sugar in large bowl. Add bananas and eggs. Mix well
  2. In separate bowl, combine flour and baking soda. Gradually add to butter mixture.
  3. Fold in walnuts, chocolate chips, and cherries.
  4. Transfer to 4 greased 5.5"x3" loaf pans.
  5. Bake 350° for 32-37 minutes or test with toothpick until it comes out clean.
  6. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire rack.
