California Peach Glacé Cake

Ingredients
  • 1 box cake mix
  • 1 can (1 lb.) Cling peach slices
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • other fruit (grapes, cherries, banana slices, pineapple, etc)
  • 1 pkg. Betty Crocker Creamy White Frosting Mix

Steps
  1. Bake cake in 9" layers. Cool.
  2. Drain peach slices (reserve juice). Mix 1/2 cup juice with cornstarch; cook over medium heat until mixture boils and is thickened and clear, about 1 minute, stirring. Cool.
  3. Arrange 3/4 cup peach slices and other fruit on top of one layer. Spoon glaze over fruit carefully (add a few drops of water iof glaze is too thick).
  4. Prepare 1 pkg. white frosting. Use to fill layers. Place fruit layer on top.
  5. Frost sides with remaining frosting. Save remaining peaches for another dessert.
