Bran Muffins

Ingredients
  • 6 cups Kellogg's All Bran Cereal
  • 5 cups flour, sifted
  • 5 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 quart buttermilk
  • 1 15oz. box of raisins (light colored)

Steps
  1. Put the all bran in large bowl and cover with 2 cups boiling water. Mix well. Add sugar and mix.
  2. Add buttermilk and mix. Add beaten eggs, raisins (if using), and softened butter.
  3. Add flour, salt, and baking soda. Fold in. Don't over mix the dry ingredients.
  4. Place in greased or lined muffin tins - bake 385° for 18-20 minutes.
  5. Do not over cook.
