Banana Bread

1 regular or 3 small loads
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 3 ripe mashed bananas (to taste)
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Steps
  1. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
  2. Add vanilla and dry ingredients, alternately with milk and bananas. Mix well.
  3. Place in greased and floured loaf pan. (This recipe makes either 1 regular bread loaf or 3 small ones - i prefer the small ones.)
  4. Bake 350° for 1 hours.
