Apple Candy

Ingredients
  • 2 TBSP. gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold applesauce
  • 3/4 cup applesauce
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup nuts - chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Steps
  1. Soak gelatin in 1/2 cup cold applesauce for 10 minutes.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients (applesauce and sugar). Boil for 10 minutes.
  3. Add gelatin mixture and boil 15 minutes. Longer, stirring constantly. Take off heat.
  4. Add nuts and vanilla and pour into lightly buttered pan.
  5. Set overnight.
  6. Cut into squares. Roll in powdered sugar.
