Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- few drops almond flavoring
- dash salt
- 1 pkg. (12 oz.) coconut
- whole almonds
- 1 pkg. (12 oz.) milk chocolate
- 2 TBSP. shortening
Steps
- Cook corn syrup, sugar, and water to firm ball stage (212°).
- Add flavoring and salt. Stir in coconut while hot.
- Pour into buttered 8x8" pan. Cool.
- Cut into squares. Put 1 almond on top of each square and dip in chocolate melted with shortening.
- Cool on wax paper.
